KWAW KESE TRIAL: COURT ADJOURNS HEARING TO FEB 5

The judge presiding ove the case against musician
Emmanuel Botchwey, popularly known as Kwaw
Kese, has adjourned hearing to February 5, 2015.
The prosecutor asked the court to adjourn the case
because he could not present his witness.
Kwaw Kese’s lawyer also pleaded that the case be
adjourned for the musician to recuperate. The
rapper is standing trial for allegedly smoking a
substance suspected to be Indian hemp.
Kwaw Kese was arrested by the Police in Kumasi
on November 22, 2014. The Hiplife artiste shuttled
between jail and the hospital after he was arrested
and remanded in prison custody.
His lawyers pleaded with the judge to grant him bail
after his stay in a hospital.
The prosecutor has said Kwaw Kese tested positive
for the substance after the medical test.
Meanwhile, the musician has started a campaign
against the use of illicit drugs, warning the youth
against using such dangerous drugs.

A Woman murders a 3 year old boy

A Twenty-one-year-old woman, Talata Baana, has
been arrested by the Police for allegedly murdering
a 3-year-old boy in place of his mother.
The suspect who is now in the custody of the
Nkawie Police alleges that the boy’s mother
accused her of thievery about a week ago.
The suspect was sighted abducting the deceased
boy, Bambilla Nkosum, by the father of the boy who
then reported the matter to the Police for her arrest.
Enoch Bambilla was kidnapped on the blind side of
his mother from Suame Magazine to Toase where
he was forced to drink a substance the police
suspect to be DDT, and then abandoned to die in a
bush.
The chief Superintendent of the Nkawie Divisional
command, Isaac Baah confirmed that Police
investigations reveal a connection between the
boy’s death and the incident between the suspect
and the boy’s mother and hence are preparing the
matter for court next week.

Omotola Has Divulged That A Particular Movie Threatened Her Marriage

One of Nigeria’s A-List Celebrities, Omotola
Jalade-Ekeinde has divulged something, we
didn’t know about her 20 years and still
counting in the Nigerian Movie Industry.
Omotola , popularly known as Omosexy has
in an interview with Encomium revealed
that, the character she played in the movie
‘The Prostitute’ once threatened her
marriage.
In the interview, when she was asked by if
she had ever been had to worry about her
marriage before, she divulged:
‘The only time I would say I worried about
was when the movie, The Prostitute came
out. And that was the first major fresh
shaking I had. It was like a kind of
controversy. From the movie poster to the
seks scenes, whatever in that movie that
was shot after I left there but was shot as if
I was the one who did it. And you know,
Nigeria was not ready for that, so there was
a lot of controversies around that. So, that
was the only time I really worried about my
marriage. And to be frank and candid, until
my husband told me he wasn’t bothered,
then I had peace,’ the Nollywood diva said‘

Nana Aba receives 'slap in the face' for running mouth

Television presenter, Nana Aba Anamoah, received
a bashing, Friday morning, from fellow journalist for
being a loud-mouth.
Seeming public admiration for her out-spoken
nature has allowed many to swallow most
statements she made (in the name of upholding
truth and journalistic principles).
Apparently, the articulate TV host has been getting
full of herself lately.
In reaction to one of such “loose statements” – this
time about the vague content of the Mirror
Newspaper – Daily Graphic journalist, Zainabu
Issah, burst out.
Zainabu, known in social circles as Hassi Baniaz,
took to Facebook to give Nana Aba a piece of her
mind.
According to her, Nana Aba did not have grounds to
call out the Mirror Newspaper when she knew
close to nothing about journalism and its
professional ethics.
She questioned Nana Aba’s educational background
in the field and warned her of the consequence of
messing with a media giant like the Graphic
Communications Group Limited.
Only last week, Nana Aba called out Viasat1
Television for instituting a satirical award scheme,
the JIGWE Awards, which sought to poke a little bit
of fun at various media houses and their
personalities.
Well this time, let’s see if there would be some
more mouth-running or whether this warning would
do well to shut someone up.

A Police Officer Accused Of Raping A 15years Old Girl

The family of a 15-year-old girl in Agevedzi in the
Ketu South District of the Volta Region has accused
a police officer there of raping the girl. They have
further accused the police service of inaction,
following the accusation.
Lance Corporal Paul Addo, who has denied the
offence, is said to have forcibly had sex with the
victim after he invited her into his room on the
pretext of returning her mobile phone which he had
earlier seized.
Narrating her ordeal to JoyNews, the victim
explained that the Lance Corporal had “arrested”
her and locked her up behind bars, allegedly at the
request of her brother and for an undisclosed
offence.
The JHS1 student explained that after her release,
the officer asked her to come by his house the
following day to retrieve her mobile phone, which he
had seized.
According to her, she complied with his request but
on arrival at his house, he asked her to follow him
into his room to collect the phone.
Upon entering the room, she says, the policeman
grabbed her from behind and forcibly had sex with
her.
She eventually reported the matter to her mother,
after which a formal complaint was made against
the policeman.
The family of the girl has expressed surprise at the
failure of the police service to arrest the alleged
rapist, over a week after they reported the matter.
They have appealed to the police to detain the
officer.
Responding to the concerns, Ketu South Municipal
Police Commander, Superintendent Augustine
Luguyare assured that investigations are still
ongoing and that the matter is being forwarded to
the Attorney General for advice.

an Ghanaian actor Asonaba Kweku Darko,
more commonly known by his showbiz name Super
OD, has asked Ghanaians to stop wishing him dead
before his time.
“I need to make this clear. I am not dead. Please go
and tell everyone super OD is still alive,” he stated.
The Osofo Dadzi television series star who was
speaking to a room filled with movie enthusiasts,
actors, producers and directors at Tuesday's
Ghana Movie Awards Ceremony said it is a
disheartening experience for him anytime he heard
rumours and assumptions of his death in the news
and on the lips of people.
“The last time someone saw me and said with
shock written all over him – ‘Oh OD, we thought
you were dead’. How could you be walking and
thinking someone is dead?” he asked in the Fante
dialect.
“As for Ghanaians, that is how you are. Just know
that I am not dead. I live in Swedru. I am only
battling old-age,” he said sarcastically.
The actor also revealed some pastors have also
tried to take advantage of his old-age to trick him
into giving them money as he depends on them for
spiritual favours.
“A pastor tried to make me believe I have a snake
crawling up my legs. In my left leg, he said. And he
offered to help deliver me from that devil if I gave
him GH¢200.00. Then I realised he was a thief and
nothing is wrong with me. When you grow old,
people come up with all kinds of things about you. If
you are not devil possessed today, you are dead
tomorrow. They fail to realise it is just old age,” he
noted.
Super OD, who is now over 70 years old, has been
one of the most hilarious characters in Ghanaian
movies in his hey days.
He also featured in a weekly sitcom dubbed the
Osofo Dadzi television series which used to run on
Ghana Television on Sunday evenings.

Naomi Watson, wife of Ghanaian actor Eddie
Watson has put across her sadness on how
Ghanaians reacted when her husband was
mentioned the winner for Best Short Film at
the recently held Ghana Movie Awards. The
actress cum TV presenter defending her
husband said he deserved the award he won
on the night because he contributed his
quota in educating the public on the deadly
Ebola disease.
Expressing herself on instagram, Naomi
Watson thanked Ghana Movie Awards
organisers for honouring her husband. She
was also grateful to actress Juliet Ibrahim
who said few words to support her husband
when the room was quiet after Eddie Watson
was announced the winner of the award.

award,it was a job done to impart
