Black Stars appearance fees slashed to $5000

The Black Stars could see their earnings slashed
by more than half if a proposal by the Ministry of
Youth and Sports is approved.
According to a report by Allsports.com, the Ministry
proposed a flat match appearance fee of $5000
dollars per game for the AFCON in Equatorial
Guinea irrespective of the outcome or stage of a
tournament the team get to, meaning the most each
player could make is $30,000 if the team reaches a
final.
Players of the national team of Ghana are among
the best paid on the continent, earning $10,000 per
match and also earn qualification bonuses.
