Samini, Episode thrill at Pay Back Concert

It was a good night of music and great
performances last Saturday at the Liberty Park in
Dansoman when the maiden edition of the Pay Back
concert came off.
Even though some of the artistes billed to perform
were absent, the likes of Samini, Episode, Ex-Doe,
Sonni Balli and new sensation Rashid Metal thrilled
the audience to great performances at the venue.
The show kicked off at 8 p.m. when the Master of
Ceremonies (MC), Disc Jockey (DJ) Adviser,
introduced Ghana’s representative at the Big
Brother Africa, Kacey Moore, as the first act on the
night. The mention of his name didn’t attract much
applause from the audience but still, he managed to
get some few patrons to dance to his songs when
he came on stage.
His act was followed by performances from Lil
Shaker and Gemini and they had a good reception
from the fans.
But it was hiplife artiste Ex-Doe who sent the place
into a frenzy when he came on stage to perform
some of his good old songs like Maba, Daavi, Mede
Kuku, Gogo Wo Ho and Comfort.

The loud cheers that greeted his performance was
evidence that Ex-Doe still knew well his stock of
trade after taking a break from the industry for
some time.
Dancehall artiste, Episode, was one of the best
performers on the night when he played with a live
band. He thrilled the crowd with his energetic stage
presence and got the fans to scream for more
when he bowed out after more than an hour on
stage.
Linda hitmaker, Samini, was in his elements. He
proved on stage why he is still regarded as a force
to reckon with after a decade on the scene.
And as expected, he performed many songs from
his repertoire such as Linda, Iskoki, Scatter Mind
and Zongozerr.
Performances from London-based Dancehall act,
Sonni Balli and reggae artiste, Knii Lantey, closed
the eventful show.
The Pay Back Concert was organised by Accra
based radio station, YFM, and supported by
Kasapreko.
