Haitian-born-Grammy-Award winning musician,
Wyclef Jean, has praised the Ghana Black Stars for
their breathtaking victory over Algeria in the
ongoing African Cup of Nations.
Ghana beat the Algerians, who are Africa’s number
one ranked team, in the second Group C cliffhanger
in Mongomo Friday.
The Black Stars of Ghana won the match through a
decisive last-minute strike by the captain of the
team, Asamoah Gyan.
Commenting on the game in a tweet, shortly after
the last whistle, the ‘911’ hit singer gave a thumbs
up to Asamoah Gyan and the team.

Ghana will now face South Africa in the last Group C
match on Monday for a place in the Quarter-Finals
of the tournament being hosted by Equatorial
Guinea.
