MUSIGA screens ageing musicians

The Ageing Musicians Welfare Fund (AMWeF) of the
Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) on Wednesday
morning organised a health screening exercise and
distribution of cash to beneficiaries of the Fund at
the MUSIGA office in Accra.
The health screening exercise was open to all
Ghanaian ageing musicians and sportsmen while
the cash distribution was restricted to beneficiaries
of the Fund.
The exercise formed part of AMWeF’s programme
for the year 2015.

Other activities lined up for beneficiaries of AMWeF
include a musical tour to generate income for
members.
Last year, the fund did some cash distributions to
members in the Southern and Northern sectors of
the country. Members of AMWeF performed at
MUSIGA’s Grand Ball and the Asanteman Arts Ball
held at the end of last year.
The health screening exercise was supported by
Danpong Pharmacy.
