You can't beat the gay out of someone - Efya condemns homophobic attack

Ghanaian songstress, Efya, has expressed her
disgust at the brutal assault meted out to Kinto
Rothmans, an organiser of the popular Friday
Friends.
Efya shared her comments on Tuesday, soon after
a video went viral showing Kinto being brutalised
for allegedly having a homosexual relationship with
one, Salim.
In the video, he was asked "You want do what?" to
which he replied "I want chop Salim." He was then
beaten up. A picture circulating on social media also
shows Kinto with blood dripping from his head.
But Efya has condemned the brutal acts on the
victim in a series of tweets. She also posted a
picture of the victim, saying "See what they did to
someone's son." Below are some of her tweets:
Kinto's issue comes on the heels of a running story
regarding two students of St.

Paul's Senior High School (SPACO), who are said to
have engaged in homosexual acts.
Students went on rampage, destroying school
properties when authorities refused to allow them to
beat up the alleged homosexual students.
Police were called to control the students, but a
first-year student of the school was hit by a stray
bullet when police fired warning shots to disperse
the angry students.
