I’m the next big thing in GH comedy - DKB

Popular Ghanaian comedian, DKB born Derrick
Kobina Bonney has boasted of being the next
popular comedian to hit the comedy industry.
Speaking on Hitz FM’s entertainment news after his
performance at the just ended Mzbel Red Concert
Saturday February 7, the comedian noted that he is
determined to promote Ghanaian comedy to the
International world.
He said “I told people I was the best and that they
should expect more as far as comedy in this
country is concern but they always doubt my
capabilities but I’m happy that they can now
recognize our good works by giving in more fresh
content each and every time.
DKB has over the years consistently campaigned
for respect and support for Ghanaian comedians.

When asked if his perfection came from a
rehearsed strategy or creativity while on stage, he
replied that “that when you get on stage, mentality
doesn’t work because when you prepare
adequately, that is when you can leave room for
creativity on stage, you don’t go on stage without
any content” he added.
DKB however indicated that he was going to strive
hard and work to clear doubts from the minds of
Ghanaians that the Ghanaian comedy is capable of
becoming the number one in the International world.
DKB broke into the comedy industry with his
performance at the Nite of 1018 Laughs and Music
and has since gained grounds in the Ghanaian
comedy industry.
