Vodafone Ghana, CIMG Company of the Year has
commended Wiyaala for making the company proud
with her wins at the recently held All Africa Music
Awards (AFRIMA).
Addressing the press at Vodafone’s headquarters,
Agnes Emefa Essah, Chief Marketing Officer
congratulated the songstress for winning ‘The Most
Promising Artist’ and ‘The Revelation of the African
Continent’ awards at the ceremony.
“As a company, we are delighted to be at the
forefront of music in the country. Wiyaala’s exploits
on the African continent gives us more
determination to continue to make further inroads
and empower young musical talents in the country,”
the CMO said.
Wiyaala, on her part, was thankful to Vodafone for
showcasing her to the world through Vodafone
Icons, the outfit’s music reality show.
Since winning the Vodafone Icons reality show in
2012, the singer from Upper West Region has
captured a string of awards and citations including
Face of Pepsi Ghana, Converse All Stars Brand
Ambassador for Ghana, the Youth Achievers Award
of the Upper West, Female Personality of the Year
at the Sissala Prestige Awards, and Music
Ambassador for the Upper West region.
Wiyaala’s debut self-titled album was launched late
last year.
